The tracks of the last few days have been very static. I've been aiming for that feeling for a while. I've been looking for a way to have lots of activity within a piece and have it feel like a slow drone at the same time. I think I'm getting there. Now it's time to take the next step. I thought it would be interesting to put a static track on top of a fairly active funk backing. This is the first result. 2005-12-18

This is out of left field. I decided to play around with Live, which I've never used before. This is what happened. 2005-12-03 I don't know if I've ever mentioned this, but I used to have a funk band in New York in the late 80s - early 90s called, "Your Monkey's Not Funny."
